Yes, Prezzo Ruto knows what he's doing, he's confirming Trump's insult of Africa

I didn’t expect, even for a moment, that the government would waste an extra minute defending Americans’ quest to establish a quarantine colony in the sovereign republic of Kenya in the year of our Lord 2026.

There is no ambiguity about who’s building the ebola quarantine in Laikipia, who will run it, whom it is meant for, and why.

It’s being established by the American government, run by American physicians, as holding ground for Americans infected with the ebola virus.

And they’re doing this in violation of an active court order. So when Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale’s attempts his circuitous spins, speaking so forcefully, I feared he might break at the seams, he fooled no one but himself. The latest spin is that the facility is being built in Laikipia for the 450 Kenyan soldiers in DRC.

Why would American taxpayers be investing in the health of Kenyan soldiers in DRC? Did they invest in our policemen in Haiti, dispatched there at Americans’ behest? What tomfoolery!

Honestly, why these folks think we’re such malenge, we don’t know what’s going on?

So twisted is Duale’s logic that even when a hypothetical question was posed to him, asking if Americans would allow a base to be built in Texas to contain an outbreak in Mexico, for the interest of Kenyans, his response still wandered back to DRC!

Duale was back on TV on Wednesday night, repeating more fictions that made little sense, so it was useful to listen to what Americans who have more sense have to say about the Laikipia project.

They say it makes little sense because a) ebola takes three weeks to incubate, not days or hours, b)

American air evacuations can provide similar quality of care as the Laikipia base c) Superior care will ultimately be required and that’s found in the US, d) Why the hell should Kenyans shoulder American health burden and e) Why put Kenyans’ health at risk when no ebola cases are reported here?

For once, I am inclined to believe Prezzo Bill Ruto when he says he knows what he’s doing. He’s honouring Donald Trump’s prophecy that we’re a shithole nation that allows such crap on its citizenry.
